Rules & Regulations
Fees Fees must be paid by the first week of every term except when starting
at the school. The student can then participate in 1 trial class at no expense. If the child then wishes to continue you will
be billed accordingly. Invoices that are not settled before the 3rd week of the term will be subject to a
£10.00.A £10 charge will be applied for cheques returned unpaid by the bank. Absence Refunds will not be given for odd classes missed and classes will not be carried over.
Notice Cancellations cannot be accepted at the start
of a new term. A half-terms notice must be given.
Class Cancellation Classes that have to be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions or teacher illness will be re-scheduled
although this may not be on the same day as the original lesson. If a class cannot be re-scheduled then
a refund will be issued. No refunds will be issued if you cannot attend the re-scheduled class.
Examinations Examination entrees are entirely at the teacher's
discretion and will be invoiced separately at the time of entry. Teachers reserve the right to withdraw candidates from examinations
if it is deemed necessary.
Uniform The regulation uniform is to be worn at all times details of which are published on the website or are available
upon request. No jewellery is to be worn and no chewing gum.
Mobile Phones Mobile phones must be turned off or switched to silent if brought in to the Dance/Drama Studio.
Property We will not be held responsible
for the loss or damage to personal belongings whilst on the premises. All belongings should be clearly marked with the students
name.
Photographs/Videos Occasionally the students
may have their picture taken or be involved in a video within the dance class, prior to an exam or at a show. We may wish
to use these images in a suitable publication or on our own website. To comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, we must
have your permission before we can photograph or make any recording of young people. By signing your application form you
have consented to this.
HEALTH & SAFETY We would appreciate you reading our Health & Safety Advice.
- When arriving
for classes/exams/shows do not drop students off at the door, always ensure that a teacher is present in the studio. If you
are not picking up your child please always inform the teacher of who is.
- Whilst every care will be taken of students whilst in the dance class, teachers cannot be responsible for
them outside of the class.
- The teacher will not look
after other children who are not involved in their class. If you bring brothers or sisters to the studio you must supervise
them at all times.
- Be
aware in the car park of children running to and from class.
class rules Students are to behave in a respectful
manner to all teachers and fellow pupils. Students are not to run or play around in the hall. They are expected
to respect the rights and property of others, and to be obedient and courteous to their teacher at all times.
Correct
uniform must be worn at all times. Any item of clothing that is not Academy Uniform will be taken off before entering
the class. Please wear tights (white/pink), cross-over cardigans or an academy zip-up jumper in the winter months.
Please label all dance shoes, dancewear & dance bags.
Any food that is purchased at the Academy or that is bought from home will only be consumed
during breaks between class. All rubbish must be placed in the dustbin and not left on the floor. NO CHEWING GUM
is to be bought into the academy.
Ballet Barres are not to be climbed on or hanged on.
The changing room will be kept neat and tidy with all rubbish put into the provided dustbins.
Hair
is to be worn in a bun for all pupils of Grade 2 standard ballet and higher. Hair is to be worn off of the face and
neck for all other classes in a ponytail. Side fringes are to be clipped back.
No Jewellery is to be worn at
any time for health and safety reasons.
Students must wait inside the hall to be collected
when the lesson has finished. Please inform your child of this rule!! PARENTS...PLEASE BE PROMPT DROPPING OFF AND PICKING
UP YOUR CHILD.
